Our nation is dealing with a plethora of problems these days. The two that are most detrimental to our families are the recession and global warming. The picture that he painted of our planet for future generations was heartbreaking. You can always convert your regular light switch to a dimmer switch easily. A simple suggestion to use fluorescent bulbs and energy saver bulbs can cut utility costs by hundreds. There is nothing difficult about being green.
Your appliances use a lot of energy and resources such as water. There have been many developments in appliance makeovers such as dishwashers that use less water, energy saving washers and dryers and refrigerators. When you are looking to buy energy efficient appliance, many of them are labeled with an energy star. This will make shopping for one easier. You will start to notice these labels everywhere and on everything from light bulbs to installation.
Many companies that manufacture energy saving products offer rebates. Some of your home improvements may also be eligible for tax credits. You can check with your local home improvement store or contractors for more information. Get on board and get green with these many wonderful products and save some money.
