Sandals may be the oldest style of footwear around. All kinds of people from long ago and up to present day have adorned their feet with sandals. Peasant and royalty alike. Some people are not familiar with finding the proper fit. Shoes covered the whole foot and the fitting is not as important. But with sandals you can tell immediately if it is ill fitted. If you wear your sandals quite often, you want to make sure that they fit well for the health of your feet.
Sandals are found in wide varieties and in casual and formal styles. Your more casual sandals are for the beach and some may even be used for walking and hiking. No matter how you wear them, they should fit properly. You need to find a sandal with good support. A women sandal without good support can attribute to back and foot pain. Proper arch support is very important. The arch of your foot aids in keeping your posture appropriate and these helps you walk better. Some women sandals offer arch support already made into the sandal. Cork sandals will mold to your feet after constant wearing.
The sole of the sandal is also something to look at when buying women sandals. The sole should be a little longer or wider than your foot. It is easy to choose a sandal that does not allow sufficient room and your toes will slide over the sides or front of the sandal. Your sandal should have enough space so that your foot will adjust to it properly. The sandal should also be protective and the sole should have some thickness to it so as to add some protection. This will avoid your foot coming in contact with anything harmful that may be on the ground. The shock of your footsteps will also be guarded if you have an adequately thick sole. You can find women sandals that have similar soles of that of a regular shoe, this work well. Strapped sandals should be selecting differently than flip-flops. Flip-flops are more of a temporary foot covering; you won’t do any extensive hiking or walking in these. But sandals that you walk or hike in have to be made to protect the feet.
Another added suggestion would be to find sandals with adjustable straps. Elastic straps seem to wear out faster and you will need to replace the sandal often. Shopping for women sandals can be fun but make it worthwhile and choose the right sandal.
