It should be a little longer or wider than your foot. It is pretty easy to choose a sandal that does not allow enough room for your toes and will slide over the sides or front of the sandal. There should be enough space so that your foot will adjust to it properly. You want to make sure that the sandal offers a protective cover and the sole should have some thickness to it. This will prevent your foot coming in touching anything harmful that could be on the ground. The impact or shock of your footsteps will also be guarded if you have an adequately thick sole. You should be able to find women sandals that have similar soles like a regular shoe and this will work well. Strapped sandals should be selected differently than flip-flops. Flip-flops are just a temporary foot covering. You won’t hike or walk in these for extended periods of time. Even the sandals that you walk or hike in have to be made to protect the feet.
Women sandals can be found in wide varieties and in casual and formal styles. More casual sandals are for the beach. Specialized sandals can be for walking and hiking. Whatever you wear them for and no matter how you wear them, they should fit properly. Seek out a good sandal with proper support. A women sandal without it will cause back and foot pain.
