How many times do you see the infomercial on TV, see them in newspaper and magazine ads, the radio and online weight loss ads offering the latest and greatest diet, machine, program or other wacked out idea that someone wants to use to make prey of the general population for being a few pounds overweight?
The TV is inundated with the shows and are making big money on the public’s lack of understanding when it comes to losing weight, but calling them out and catching them in their lies and or deceptions is already on the website, in the ad or in the disclosure on the commercial. This means they already know that they are scamming the public, or they would not have this information in plain sight, but few ever get it or catch the wording, or put together what they are saying.
The people who sell these programs know exactly what they are doing, and doctors and professional trainers have been preaching it from the rooftops for decades, but still these people profit from a lack of understanding by the population. So, what are the signs that some weight loss program or machine is a scam?
Almost without fail, there is a disclaimer that states something similar to this statement. “When used with proper diet and a sensible exercise program”. This is the thing we covered earlier that was stated as being shouted from the rooftops by the real professional. This is the one thing that they all have in common while selling you on the idea that they have the magic bullet that will melt away pounds.
Eating right is the no 1 factor in losing weight, but to get the total benefits, you need to exercise, and that can be done without an expensive machine, program or even a special food plan. You can take a walk at a brisk pace for a half hour.
If you stop and consider the statement, it is telling you that you do not need their product or gimmick, and that all that you will need to make a life change is to learn to eat smaller portions, eat healthier foods and get active. A walk, short jog, playing basketball or some other sport for a half hour a day and just 3 days a week and you have made the life changes that you need to get to your target weight.
It is not that hard or complicated to get to your ideal weight if you make some simple changes in what you eat, how much you eat and a little bit of exercise. Anybody can and should do this.
