I recovered from Fibromyalgia more than ten years ago and now am dedicating my extensive learning experience with those who are still ridden with this restrictive condition. From what I read about in this vast cyber space not all suggested steps are effective Fibromyalgia treatments.
Here are some steps that are vital in healing Fibromyalgia:
Step 1: Eat Healthier
An important part of healing Fibromyalgia and a most effective Fibromyalgia treatment is to eat healthier. The number enemy to Fibromyalgia sufferers is white sugar, followed by preservatives, artificial sweeteners and dairy. This means no soda or alcohol, no products that proclaim ‘light’ this or ‘fat free’ that. It’s not worth it. Instead eat real food and eat meals that are as natural as possible. No frozen meals, no foods out of a baggy. Make it yourself. Your body will thank you for it.
Step 3: Eliminate Stress
Stress is most likely the number one thing that cause your body to succumb to Fibromyalgia in the first place. It may not be the stress you have incurred most recently, but I can promise you that the stresses you have incurred to date in your years have all combined and added to you suffering from Fibromyalgia. Part of a right Fibromyalgia treatment is to reduce stress wherever you can and to give your body consistency.
What does this mean? Stress can easily be reduced by decluttering your mind of pointless thoughts. Declutter your sphere of friends with those that are no longer beneficial to you and your existence. Declutter your surroundings with nick nacks and belongings you no longer need or want. Do not answer the phone when you’re having a meal. In fact, shut off your phones entirely for 2-3 hours a day. Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning for a period of time until your body can help adjust itself. Think of ways you can eliminate unwanted and inefficient or non-beneficial things in your life.
Step 3: Apply appropriate Exercise Regime
The right Fibromyalgia treatment applies the correct exercise regime. One of the first things to go when someone comes down with Fibromyalgia is physical activity. A body suffering from this painful condition obviously doesn’t want to move, it wants to rest and do nothing. Unfortunately the one thing that can help in the healing practice is applying a consistent and gentle exercise program. For example: gentle yoga, swimming, careful stretching workouts, belly dancing or other light dancing as well as a rebounder/mini trampoline might be fantastic ways to get your body’s lymph system flushed out. Avoid rough exercise practices, in particular those that could result in falls (skiing, etc.).
