We love getting your calls and emails with inquiries ranging from measuring the girls for the right size to how do we choose the right styles and color. Here is a presentation of some of the more common questions and some helpful hints that will make your life a little bit easier when planning for the wedding Q) My bridesmaids dresses have a hard to match color can I use some of that material for the %LINK2%? A) Very often, brides would prefer to have the bridesmaids and flower girls match exactly with colors and fabrics. There are two ways of accomplishing this.. First is that you can order some extra fabric from the business that made your bridesmaid dresses (we can calculate how much based on the number of girls needing dresses) and send it to us. We can then use that cloth to make color matching sashes on the flower girl's dresses on the little girls’ dresses. Another option send us a sample of the color and we can custom match it for you in our silk dupioni fabric collection. Q)The %LINK1% I have selected for my wedding are from a wide range of ages - should they all be wearing the same style and color dress? A) Its good to have a crowd of flower girls, regardless of what the age, they all look great together and all and sundry will love them. Some ideas to keep in mind. First and foremost, it’s totally up to you! If you want them all wearing the equivalent style and color - by all means go for it, a lot of brides like to keep it consistent. Or you can choose to change things up to some extent, for example, for girls 4 and under you can purchase an empire waist, girls 5 and up create a natural waist. You can vary the sleeve options such as adding ruffled cap on the little flower girls. You might also prefer to do a broad sash on the bigger flower girls and a thinner sash on the little ones. There are a number of ways to make everything customized so everyone is happy. Q) How should I take the girl's measurements and how do I determine if they require a “custom” size? A) Use a flexible measuring tape and measure around the chest, waist, and full height. (Make sure they are not moving around too much!) Send us your measurements and we’ll let you know what's the best size, or if it’s most proper to do a custom cut size. Bear in mind that our dresses do run true to size so determining the proper size is generally the easiest part.
