I recently took a course with Direct Marketing guru Mark Hoverson where he covered nine killer video marketing techniques that will increase your connection, rapport and sponsorship of your leads or prospects.
So here we go,
Tip 1. Always look your best so that at any time that you get inspired, you can take advantage of the moment and shoot high-quality video. Whenever you look good you feel good and it will show.
Tip 2. Every 7 seconds have a different background, shoosh, that's the "Hollywood Secret." You want to show movement in example of this is walking while filming your videos. Videos have action and movement and you want to show something unique.
Tip 3. Utilize open loops. An open loop is when you share 90% of something and leave 10% unanswered. An example of this is when you tune into any local newscast and they tell you the lion share of the story and then say, "coming up next you're going to see..." or "I'm going to show you..."
4. Express your body language. See body language has a high intimacy factor. There is a higher possibility of influencing and connecting with your prospect. Open yourself to nonverbal communication such as your facial expressions, the set of your eyes, your posture and how you carry your shoulders, the clothes you wear. Everyone of these influences people subconsciously in either moving them towards you or away from you. Smile and smile a lot. It's very important to look at the center of the camera without darting your eyes to the left or right. Look confident as you throw your shoulders back and position your body in proper posture. So, before they say, "Action", put a smile on your face, get your shoulders up and look into the center of the camera.
5. Drawing on a video is powerful. Whether you using an easel or a bamboo tablet on a screen capture, drawing locks in more senses and makes a deeper connection with your leader prospect.
Tip 6. An overlooked component of your voice that is important is the cadence. There practically needs to be a musical rhythm to your voice. You don't want to mumble and you want to be genuinely funny. It is 100 times better to have a dramatic pause versus a humm or umm or you know as those words imply uncertainty and searching for an answer.
7. Do it enough. Shoot all types of how to videos, training illustrations and Life Style videos until it becomes second nature. You will be authentic. People will follow you when they see and feel the value that you bring.
Tip 8. Shoot full-bodied videos. Videos that show you interact pain with your family, your kids, your pets, dancing, singing to music, eating food and enjoying life.
Tip 9. Show proof and your videos. People just love to see before and after results. Give them what they want.
