The HAHD challenge is a simple one to explain - you have to write 100 articles of over 400 words each and get them all approved by EzineArticles.com, one of the strictest and best article sites on the internet. Oh yes, and all in a 100 day window.
Why Bother With HAHD?
So what is the point of it? Well, for the writer, quite lots. Try sitting down for over 3 months and ensuring that you write at least 1 article a day. Miss a couple of days through family events, a holiday or whatever and suddenly you are behind and needing to play catchup.
Does this mean that HAHD adds stress to article writing? If you are the wrong personality then probably. But for me, it was a focus. A quick tick chart scribbled up and then I could track my progress and I quickly got ahead and that feeling was remarkable.
From Zero To Hero
Prior to taking part in this challenge I had submitted less than 60 articles or reviews to EzineArticles and a similar number elsewhere. I wasn’t exactly a prolific writer. But my account now stands at more than 210 live articles or reviews and I joined the challenge 35 days late!
So not just did it pace me and get me writing, but it also made sure that I stuck it out and continued after I completed the challenge.
The Learning Process
There are ample of other benefits as well. During that time my writing has become more flowing and easier. The number of article rejections has dropped and as a bonus, I gained Platinum Author status, with the bonuses and gifts that entails.
I have also learnt masses. I now have websites with a load of my own content instead of syndicated content from other websites. This, along with the extra links, mean that in the most recent Page Rank update I was lucky enough to see a few blogs move up a couple of ranks.
More Clicks
I now also have access to data and experience. Since starting the challenge my average EzineArticles click through rate has risen almost a whole percentage point as I have tried out and improved my articles, titles and biography.
Discover How To Invent New Article Titles
The stats for my articles show how people are finding them and my site stats also show main keywords used to direct people to the websites. This all means that I know how people are arriving on my site and I have learnt in the process that these keywords are where I should start when I am next article writing. My list of future article titles is growing faster than I can write them!
Overall, It Was Wonderful!
Overall, the challenge gave me back stacks and was well worth it. Not just have I now got a huge stock of articles or reviews that are sending me hundreds of new traffic, but the quality and confidence of my writing has improved whilst my search engine ratings have increased and I have learnt easy ways of inventing new article titles to be working with in the future.
My web site visitors is like nothing I have seen before across several blogs and I am enjoying the success and I am practically addicted to creating new quality articles. Roll on the next challenge! I need the fix!
