How many times has a co-worker pitched in a hand to help or got you out of a jam? You can show your appreciation with a nice gift. It doesn’t have to been expensive or showy. It could be as simple as a flower or a picture frame. Picture frames are so varied these days that you can find them with any type of personal message or name. There are some picture frames that have “Friends”, “Family” or just about anything on them. They are a personalized gift that adds a nice personal touch that speaks to the gift receiver. You can find some digital photo frames that allow you to record a voice message and you can download your pictures to the frame and create a slideshow of your favorite photos.
If you want to add a nice touch to a cubicle, you can give flowers, cube photo blocks, hanging pictures or desk accessories. A pretty crystal vase would be a nice touch for the flowers. If the person is a reader, a nice book or magazine subscription would be ideal. There are also so gag gifts that can lighten the mood in the workplace. You could also give gift cards to their favorite breakfast or lunch spot. Coffee is probably drunk at work more than any other place. A small coffee maker with delicious gourmet blends would be a best gift for a coffee drinker.
Whatever the occasion is being celebrated or if you just want to give a gift to say thanks, there are endless ideas. If your co-worker is athletic, a gift card to a sporting goods store would be ideal or sporting event tickets. A gift basket filled with goodies is also a very good idea. You could add other sports theme gifts like a baseball cap or T-shirt of their favorite team. You can give basket filled with food or fruit. For the junk food lover, a basket filled with candy and chips makes a great gift. If your co-worker loves tea, a basket with different tea blends crackers or cookies work great. You can come up with many different ideas for gift baskets. You can even make them yourself. Baskets can be bought for little or nothing at craft shops or specialty shops. Then you just fill it with whatever you like that you know your co-worker will enjoy. Sometimes the best gifts are the ones that we make ourselves.
