As described before, standing in front and presenting to a crowd is not my forte. At first, whenever I think about the wedding day, I became nervous. As though declaring my wishes to be one with my bride-to-be does not make me nervous enough, I had to stand up and speak to a whole wedding attendees.

On the plus side I received guide...whether from pals or loved ones that gave me suggestion on this subject. I also searched for good guide to help me get over this potential problem. These are some of the elements that help me calm my nerves:

1. Groom Speech Does not Need Be Lengthy

3-5 minutes is what I aimed for. KISS (Keep It Short & Sweet) is definitely one of the most valuable advice I was given.

2. Be Yourself

I actually say precisely what was in my heart...started out by informing the guests how anxious I really am and they seem to realize. These are my close friends...so that is understandable

3. No Reading If Possible

Associated with the above, it's okay to possess several bullet points written down (so that you do not stray from what you want to say). But avoid reading off the card. That is a boring method to produce a speech. I had mine in about 4 mins.

4. Engage My Bride-to-be

I say freely how much my bride-to-be means to me and how my daily life has improved since meeting her. I shared a few of the targets that we have together and what I hope the foreseeable future will bring.

5. Thanking Just about all

I make sure that I'm able to say thanks to those that are responsible in making the marriage ceremony a reality. There are the wedding guests, the best man, the brides maid, the users and all those that have been working tirelessly to ensure that the day turn out well.

By just focusing on the points above, a 4-5 minutes groom speech would not be an issue ar all. I am nervous still even with so much practice but I realise that I can still give an unforgettable speech if I kept this tips in mind.

I hope it will work out for you too.
