EFT Tapping is most potent when things seem to be at their worst.
The list of crappy things that life throws at us is seemingly unending...tough partners, whiny children, traffic jams, spine-numbing headaches, bills, to-do lists, taxes, finances, blizzards, sore throats, bad backs, divorce...it's stressful to even simply write down some!
And then, on high of everything is one thing like "I've got to be told to simply relax! The strain is killing me!" Thus, add that to the list of things to deal with...time to [INSERT - browse the self-facilitate book, meditate, workout, diet, quit smoking, etc, etc, etc.]'
Somehow self-improvement and increasing our level of happiness became another HUGE factor begging for time in our already jam-packed, stressful days.
What if the crappy moments are indeed magic moments that may be used as they happen to resolve the stress around them?
Image this...an emotional 'discussion' regarding the family finances erupts. Voice are getting louder, blood pressure is rising - nothing good or productive is concerning to happen. Feelings are hurt and everybody goes to bed angry and resentful and zilch is resolved.
Currently, picture this... precise same 'discussion' happens, however now at least one of the participants is tapping. Fingers drumming on the side of the hand...at the bottom of the throat...at the strain points round the eyes...and this version ends differently.
For the person tapping, the hurt emotions melt away and for the other participants, it's abundant a lot of troublesome to fight with somebody who's not engaged in the anger. Same situation, same players, but this time, there are totally different results. The energy around the family finances has finally changed.
This may seem like a minor amendment, however it's something but for those involved. There can be better sleep, clearer thinking and more productive discussions as a result of the anger has diminished.
The point of EFT Tapping is to rewire the body's negative emotional response to no matter pushes your buttons. There is no better time to use than when you're within the throes of powerful emotion.
There is no want for scripts, coaching or endless analysis. Just FEEL and tap. That is it.
Soon the 'crap' in your life turns into...supportive life partners, expressive children, reflective commuting time, increasing self-awareness, gratitude for the abundance in your life, enjoyment of nature around you and contemporary starts. It's all in the attitude, that is all in the emotion.
Thus do not try to avoid it, suppress it or ignore it. Embrace the crap with EFT Tapping.
