Before I became a Fitness Instructor I had been in Sales and Business in general for many years and have noticed plenty of adult males who continually wore loose apparel and were always stooped. had never given any thought as to why guys acquired a hunched bearing, or indeed favoured loose-fitting apparel, until I observed them minus clothes, when it became evident|Initially, I paid scant attention to posture or clothing but as soon as I saw these individuals in a changing room, it became clear|Like the majority of people, I thought nothing of either posture or clothes, only perhaps in a changing room when I was able to see why}...it was the common need to hide man boobs. I didn't know much at all about this problem before qualifying as a Fitness Professional but I have done much research over recent years as to the causes in order that I would be in an improved position to advise guys in the gym.
Not much was known about gynecomastia etc. in the 1960's, when I was at high school but I do recall a youngster of my age who had breasts and suffered accordingly. He was so shy with his appearance that he was always manufacturing ruses for never taking part in any of the sports, games etc. so that he did not have to fret about other lads seeing him in the showers. Some boys are ever too ready to tease another boy so there were some uncalled for comments aimed at him, which certainly made him very embarrassed. I hope that he grew out of his condition, which was, as I know now, pubertal gynecomastia. It is a fact that 93% of boys who get this form of gynecomastia do grow out of it after 3 years or so.
Understanding of hormonal imbalance was limited then so the only 'cure' was surgery. Inevitably, males who had an operation were nearly always left with scar tissue. A cure-yes, but which was worse...the condition or the cure.?
Compression undergarments gradually became available to flatten the chest and so help to hide man boobs. As time has gone by these have been extended and improved considerably. There are several rules which you should follow if you are considering taking this path to help your problem because quality and prices do differ, with the latter varying from 70 to 200 dollars:
1.Make sure that your underwear comes with a minimum guarantee of 30 full washes as this is an assurance of quality.
2.Control must be snug and effective so the material must be 3-way stretch.
3.You will find that soft fiber mixtures like 'Lycrasoft' or'Tactel' will be the most comfortable.
4.Make certain that the material is also 'breathable' because moisture has to escape and air has to be able to get in.
5.Your garment's material must have been treated with anti-microbial properties to prevent bacteria and moulds from thriving.
Look on the Internet for manufacturers of undergarments as my attitude is not to seek to hide man boobs but to get a permanent solution. Make a decision here and now to get rid of your man boobs, not to hide them. Over the years I have assisted a considerable number of people who took my advice and did the workouts, changed their diets and lifestyles and achieved a proper man's chest as a consequence...it can be done. I can't stipulate a detailed workout schedule here but there are some principles to bear in mind:
1.It is important that you are physically able to undertake a variety of workouts and that you are able to perform a specific chest schedule as well.
2.Ensure that you warm up for 5 minutes or so and do the essential large muscle group stretches before you begin the session proper.
3.Don't target any major muscle group for a greater time than 25 to 30 minutes in a session.
4.Make certain that you observe good technique, with a neutral spine, good range of movement and carry out each repetition in a considered, unhurried way.
5.Ideally, your resistance exercises ought to incorporate both free weights and resistance machines.
6.Don't overdo it in the beginning and exercise for no more than one hour.
Maximum outcomes with your chest exercises will be accomplished as follows:
1.Your routines will be interesting and successful if you perform chest presses with a variety of equipment...barbells, dumbbells and fixed machines.
2.Vary the positions in which you do your chest exercises and execute them flat, incline, decline and seated so working all of the chest.
3.Use 3 different methods of doing flyes...machines, cables and dumbbells. Flyes will help fill out your chest.
4.I advocate doing between 3 and 5 different chest exercises for a start, with 3 sets for each exercise and 12 to 15 repetitions in each set.

I do also understand that there is a section of the male population for whom gyms hold no attraction, or cannot afford to join one or do not even live near one. In addition to this there will be several who cannot justify buying special undergarments and for them also I decided to investigate less expensive options.
