We obtain a giant plethora of gifts every day especially if you have lots of neighbours. Several of these are purely space users and knick knacks that crowd your farm and use up fruitful space where you could plant plots and plant high-quality producing trees and animals. To really make the most of your farm get rid of those useless gifts by selling them off. Why hoard two or three of things? Will you really ever utilise four tool sheds on your farm or 7 gnomes? Get rid of them and make use of your coins for decidedly productive trees and seeds. Some of the animals pay well so check out what is best and maintain them. Position your animals in a little portion on the perimeter of your farm. They don't need to be in a huge pen and they can all go in as one. When you get your free trees as gifts plant and harvest them once or twice then they have already made you some coin, then sell them off. Especially sell trees that while may look vibrant don't really do you any favours in terms of making money for your farm. An example of this is the cherry and peach trees. They are always the trees that were first gifted and not very high up. Banana trees, date palms, Olive trees and cashew trees pay well. Ask your neighbours for these by putting signs on your farm and sell the cheap trees. They're not doing you any real favours.
Check out what seeds give you good coins and XP retunr and mix them up while planting. Some don't give you any XP like reaspberries and some give you better XP than others. To get your ribbons plant every seed at least once and if you want to obtain your crop mastery save the cheapest providers til last and use them in a co-op then its worth the effort and you will still win at the end of the co-op competition. If you are able to, sow crops that will ripen at differnt times so that you have thihngs constantly on the go and therefore constantly making coins. This isn't always possible of course but if you have the opportunity on some days you will find your coins go up incredibly. Visit neighbours often and colect every bonus from your newsfeeds and sell what you won't need or use.
