All babies can be a little upset from time to time, but sometimes too much is just too much!

I appreciate precisely what you mean...

As a Health Care provider for women, I observe many new Mom’s being extraordinarily exasperated with a little one that can be really fussy. These are my tips for dealing with those babies who just don’t soothe easily after being fed, changed and comforted.

Ok, enough hype... here are 5 tips to help calm your fussy baby.

1. Try to make the room you are in as hushed as doable Turn off electronic devices near you and try resting with you infant. It could be quite possible that the baby is wound up by their surroundings and just needsa break.
2. Lay your child on her belly on your chest or lap (but not meant for sleep!). A dry washcloth warmed in the microwave beneath her abdomen may feel soothing. Never ever keep the baby on his/her belly for lengthy periods of time without being present. Be sure to only rest your child on it's belly if you are nearby and paying close attention! The pressure on the tummy of your infant can be calming..
3. Don't forget to swaddle her. It offers babies the sense that they are back in the womb and allows them feel more protected.
4. Doing repetitive actions while still in your arms may prove to help. Try rocking in a rocking chair or bouncing vaguely while on your bed can have a very relaxing outcome.
5. A long ride in the auto would work wonders for my child, and other mother's I know will certify to it as well. (I have had patients that took turns driving for several hours as the car was the lone place the baby would sleep). The movement of the vehicle along with the repetitive noises can do wonders for helping your baby get some rest.

I hope you will find benefit in these tips...I know I did when I went through durations like this. It certainly can be stressful... I know that from practice...

...but with modest endurance you will have no difficulty calming your tiny stressball.
