Acne can be found to occur in teenagers and believe it or not, it is also common among adults. One out of every four adults will have some form of acne in their life time. There are many reasons why one can have an outbreak of acne.
Acne can be caused by many different factors that include - stress, hormones, medications, and it could be due to your genes. It is not caused by one factor alone. A lot of people think acne happens because a person is going through puberty, they are eating a lot of chocolate or grease, or they may not be taking care of their hygiene. But these beliefs are just myths.

The truth is your lifestyle has nothing to do with your skin origin. When oil gets trapped below the surface of your skin, it can cause bacteria to start multiplying. This is what will usually cause your skin to become irritated while developing pimples and blemishes.

If you want to fight against skin disorders. You have to create a regimen, you need to wash your skin once or twice a day with a good cleanser. I wash my face in the morning and also in the evening before I go to bed. If I wear make up, I will wash in the evening, once to get the make up off and then again to clean my face. Its something you have to get use to doing. You need to stay away from cleansers that contain harsh acids because this will only irritate your skin further. To avoid irritation you should never scrub your face. It is best to use only your fingertips when you are washing and this will limit the sensitivity in your skin and keep your pores clean.

Another way to keep pores clean is to learn how to give yourself a facial every six weeks. When I started to use the right products and give myself facials my face started to look much better, and I started to feel great. Of course, if you can afford to go and get facials start right away, it can make a difference and it feels great. vo
