After I 1st heard about the speed reading machine I could nearly understand how it worked. Speed reading is all about reading faster and not loosing any of the comprehension of the text.
So I thought that perhaps a speed reading machine was a method of guiding your reading with the techniques of unfold reading i.e. the road and card technique and inspiring you to read each line at a glance from the middle of the road, by somehow focusing your attention down the center of the page and then revealing the text line by line Well, dream on. The speed reading machine has nothing to try to to with speed reading!
What was described to me as a speed reading machine is of course just a text converter. It takes text and converts it into audio files that can then be played on your pc, or walkman or MP3 player.
This machine is very useful and allows one to be absorbing reading material while on the move, and if you're a slow reader, it's faster than ploughing through the text. Conjointly if youngsters are dyslexic or have been diagnosed with either ADD or ADHD, then it is a smart approach for the child to get through their studies at a more comparable speed to the opposite children, and can hopefully stop the kid from falling behind in class.
However, it can not speed up their reading. If something, a child who gets used to absorbing text in this fashion can not be practicing reading and will most likely thus get slower at reading!
Like all inventions there is definitely a use for it, but in all probability as an addition to reading, maybe it should be targeted at people who travel a ton, but perhaps not at children.

Like all inventions there's positively a use for it, but most likely as an addition to reading, perhaps it should be targeted at those that travel a heap, but maybe not at children.
Recent analysis has suggested that children under the age of seven should not use a pc as this may delay their reading as they're not training their eyes to focus at the correct distance; also, kids learn to browse by following their fingers across the page, this teaches the brain the movement of the eyes from left to right.
At the end of the day, it does not matter how much equipment there's to help our children, all of them need to find out to read. Hence the reading machine, that converts text to audio, might not be doing youngsters any favours.
As an adult but, if you are forever having to take a seat and dredge through the latest articles in your chosen field, then the a reading machine could allow you to get through additional of those as are you'll be able to continue to soak up the information when walking, jogging or maybe at the gym.
It appears that although all these gadgets can help, there's nothing like actually being able to read, from there learning to hurry scan, and then if you really wish to maximize it slow potency, then add a reading machine for times when you're on the move.
Sadly a reading machine will not teach you to speed read, but it will gift data in an exceedingly readily absorbable format. Maybe the type of person who is interested in this type of machine is the perfect person to learn to speed scan!
