Let us try to perceive the different angles pertaining to this issue. We love dogs and don't want to behave like owners. Treating a friend as a mere plaything needs to be stopped. Like every other animal, dogs too have their own mind. It is we who separated them from their mothers at a tender age of six to eight weeks. A friend has been brought home and we must also treat him like a dear friend.

Despite of being the descendants of wolves, dogs share a strong bond with the humans. We should be able to respond back with the same level of love and attachment for them naturally. It is only one person to whom each dog is strictly loyal. On the other hand, he would also display his levels of attachment for all the members of the family also. This responsibility is on us to take good care of this friend as a member of the family. With this it is possible to remove one of the root causes of the barking of dogs, as we humans call it.

Dog?s bark is scary for some of us. This however, is one of the few ways through which they try to communicate. There are some other ways as well through which dogs try to communicate. The faint sounds that they make and the fleeting expressions on their faces tell us a lot. We must be sensitive and very attentive. Being able to catch these subtle signals would help us responding to them in a batter manner.

Notwithstanding our assumptions, dogs are quite intelligent. They usually have certain pre-defined needs including foods, exercises and bit of attention. It is important to understand their emotions rather than just wishing away. If we can understand whether our friend is feeling bored or lonely or is unwell, he will not need to bark.

You would undoubtedly like to raise the puppy as a member of the family. So, it would be wise to overlook the advice given in the dog training books and sites. Expecting a dog to behave as a robot with single-word commands must be stopped. If possible, talk to your dog habitually and make sure you do the same for quite some time. Your dog must not be underrated. He has the brains to understand everything except eighteenth century literature. If only dogs had been able to speak, we would have realized how much they are able to understand.

How about recollecting some of the key beliefs of body language and face reading and applying the same to the dogs? There are countless signals that your friend is giving you in real time. Simply care to look at his face, especially his eyes, and his body. Your instincts will succeed in taking care of everything, once your soul reaches out to your pet. This would help in developing a proper understanding of your pet?s needs desires and love.

In brief, try to treat the puppy as a child and do what a good parent would do. Don?t ever think of giving a silencer to your friend. You would rather need an amplifier to actually hear the unspoken language of the world of canine.
