If you have anger management problems, and are trying to find new ways of controlling anger that you feel boiling up in you, here are a few ideas that might just help get it all back under control.

You are going to have to learn how to relax if you want to start controlling anger. This probably sounds completely impossible, but it really isn't. In fact, some ways can actually be very enjoyable. There are deep breathing exercises out there that work really well, and so can relaxation imagery. At least trying them won't land you in more hot water than you would be if you simply exploded with anger.

Often, repeating one word that is particularly soothing will calm you down very quickly. This can be used with relaxation imagery and deep breathing exercises very simply to give an additional effect. One example would be taking a stroll through the woods and noticing the dappling of light on the leaves at your feet.

When you take a deep breath, you should let it out slowly, repeating the calming word or words. (No! Not those words unless they're under your breath!). It may be something as simple as "relax" or maybe even a special word remembered from your childhood that always soothed you.

Perhaps you just need to change your environment in order to start controlling anger in a healthy way. This can be something as simple as just stepping out for a short walk. Sometimes just going into a different room for a moment to collect your thoughts is enough to get a handle on your emotions and help you start controlling your anger.

Everybody needs to learn how to control their anger. Choosing the best way for you may be a tough challenge, but there is always a way to do it.
