If any readers are still carrying surplus weight following the birth of their infant I thoroughly recommend they get and make use of a jogger stroller. I gained 20 pounds more than I ought to have when I was pregnant and I was a bit anxious about how I was going to lose all of that excess weight after my child was born. I had the feeling I would be stuck with it. One of the nurses at my doctor's office advised me that I should look at purchasing a jogger stroller.
I had never been interested in jogging, but I loved to hike, so decided to follow her suggestion. Obviously, just because it is labeled as a jogger stroller doesn't mean that you must jog with it. It's simply designed to be more robust should parents be keen on exercising while taking their baby for a walk.
At first, I was disheartened by the prices as I had no interest in spending more than $100 for any type of stroller, especially as I already owned one. Nonetheless, a few weeks after my daughter was born, I was reconsidering that. I attempted to take her for walks outside but the regular stroller just seemed too big and cumbersome for walking at a quicker pace. It was good for day-to-day uses but not for exercise.
So, once again, I looked at the prices of the jogger strollers. My partner told me that it did not matter what the cost was, as long as it would help get me out of the house and be fitter and more cheerful again. We ended up purchasing a middle priced one for more than I wanted to pay out, but a little less than what we might have paid. The minute we got home and figured out exactly how it worked and went together, I was off.
I was absolutely surprised at how speedily I could shift and how much more comfortable it was for me to manage. What was still more unexpected was how fast the baby fell asleep. I suppose it offered a much smoother ride for him than the bulkier stroller had. She could be extremely grumpy before being put in the stroller and then within a few minutes of being strapped in, she was as happy as can be.
I loved being able to be outdoors and not feeling like I was so stuck in the house all of the time. There were days when it was dull and raining, but luckily, the stroller had a nice little roof for her and, with a waterproof for me, I was still content. I was able to drop a couple of pounds each week. I had my doubts initially about the jogger stroller, but it turned out to be a wonderful investment in the end.
