Mo Bradley reviews printers that use ink that will not break your budget.
For those of you looking to see what the rate of the ink is before purchasing a printer, let me commend you as being a very prudent. Too many consumers get caught up with the low price
of a printer and the exhilaration of the new printer itself, that they do not think about what it will cost to run this printer. I am a victim of this myself and when I found out what the cost of ink was for my Canon IP1600, I must say that I really wanted to kick myself in the butt. I am a very penny-wise person, so I simply dumped it in the trash and did my ink cost research for a new printer from square one, just as you are doing now.
I am going to show some printer brands, printer models and ink cartridge prices and let you decide which printer to purchase.
Epson Printers: Ink Prices based mostly on Peachtree Ink
Do NOT buy HP and Lexmark or Dell printers because their cartridges are very high-priced. Even the compatible inks are pretty steep at $8.50/Black and $13.95/color at Peachtree Ink. Remain with the Epson and Brother printers because they will all print perfect color photos. They print just as fast as any other printer and they generally cost less to buy.
Do not buy a Canon printer. Their ink cartridges costs well above $20 a cartridge and even the re-manufactured cartridges are expensive and very often do not work as they should. You want to stay away from problems. Stay away from Canon.
For the best deal on an Epson printer, go to The Epson Store online. Right now Epson Stylus NX415 (listed above) is selling at $49.95 which comes complete with a 12 month warranty from Epson. A complete set of inks will cost less than $10.00 for medium capacity cartridges. You can choose between low, medium or high capacity inks.
Happy printing.
