Niche marketing is selling a product or service to individuals who are interested in that product or service. It means selling to a small or limited audience who has a distinct interest. But why would anybody aim to sell to a small audience and not to everyone? It all comes down to money - your money. Big corporations can dump as much capital as they want into advertising and selling their goods. Unless you have unlimited cash at your disposal, you plainly are not able to compete with those who do. That is why niche internet marketing is a fantastic work from home idea. It's a great way to start your own online website business. Niche marketing makes it possible for those of us with restricted funds to earn a decent living without trying to publicize our product or service to the entire world.

Niche marketing means that you can launch an online website business for yourself with only a computer, an internet connection, and a good work from home idea. You can make a niche website and aim at the persons who would be most interested in your specific product, and you can achieve it all on a very limited budget.

Finding the suitable niche for what you have to market isn’t actually all that complicated. Simply think about who the people are who would be most interested in what you have to sell. For instance, if you have concocted a shampoo formula that will eliminate chlorine out of a person’s hair, you can’t compete with large businesses that sell shampoo; but you can narrow your market down to a niche and direct sales to persons who have swimming pools. You buy a domain name, obtain a server, and develop a website to market your product only to individuals who have swimming pools.

Niche marketing is not about competition. With niche marketing, you aren’t standing toe-to-toe against some mega-corporation, and you're also not standing beside or behind thousands of other people who are selling the identical product or service. You're selling to a certain audience that you have created for yourself with your opt-in email list.

The benefit of an email list is that you're not selling to new individuals all of the time. Rather, you're selling to the same customers over and over again. This means that you need to devote enough time and effort to get to understand the people on your opt-in list so that you can keep on selling to them.

Niche marketing is most effective when it is focused on a very specific, very small market, and the smaller the better. When you focus your niche on a very limited portion of a larger market, you are practically guaranteed of getting a fair portion of that market. With billions of individuals in the world, you need only a very small part of the population to get a massive list of prospective consumers of your products or services.
