All over the world, people are getting less sleep. We get busier and busier, and it seems like our sleep time is the biggest victim. The average sleep cycle in the United States is now just six hours, with doctor recommended eight hour nights going by the wayside. With so many of us sleeping so little already, insomnia just isn't something we can afford. However, it's also striking more and more of us, leaving us to feel tired and worn out throughout the whole day, and making it even harder to stay on schedule. If you're like a lot of us, you'd do just about anything to get rid of your insomnia, but you may not have though about changing your mattress.

Many people can't sleep, and the problem is their bed. After all, a low quality, unsupportive bead can cause all kinds of aches and pains, make existing problems a lot worse, and keep us up all night. Movements from other people in the bed can wake you up and keep you up, too. The wrong mattress, or the right one that's gotten too old, can really ruin your night. That's why it's so important to make sure you're sleeping on a good quality mattress that's right for you.

Take a look at your bed. Does it dip in the middle? Are the sides of the mattress sagging and unsupportive? Do you get aches and pains in the middle of the night? There's a good chance that it's time for a brand new mattress. It might seem like you just got this one, but remember that bargain mattresses often wear out more quickly than they should. If you've moved your mattress during its lifespan, or you haven't turned it often enough, it may be nearing the end of its life faster than you'd like.

The answer is a new, good quality mattress that'll last a lot longer. It might seem too expensive, or like it's not worthwhile, but a good mattress costs a lot less than lowered productivity and trips to the doctor. Plus, if you spend a little more on the right mattress now, you're more likely to pay less over the years. Better mattresses just last longer - up to a decade in some cases. That means a lot of good sleep.

So, if you've been feeling tired and unable to sleep, think hard about where you've been sleeping. That old mattress might be the culprit. A new, better quality mattress using the latest technological advances and design improvements could be the answer that brings back those sweet dreams. Don't stay up all night - shop around and find the perfect mattress for your needs. You'll be glad you did.
