There is an endless debate when it comes to diaper changing by new moms. It is an ongoing debate and it seems one that will go on and on forever. But what is the big issue anyway?

Depending on what you are using for changing the diapers, you might find at time rashes on the backside of your baby. This largely depends on the brand you are using and the material. The toddler could well be allergic to various things and these allergies only become apparent when using the wrong diapers for the child.

Regardless of what you are using, you need to always have with you diaper ointment, to prevent or minimize the rashes. Diaper rash is a very annoying and even painful situation for every child that experiences it. It seems that generally, cloth diapers tend to cause less diaper rash than the other type.

However, when all is said and done, which diaper type should you use?

The cloth diapers are usually more expensive than the disposable ones, however moms have found that in the long run they save more money in the process simply because they can reuse them, instead of buying new ones all the time. Of course, on the other hand, disposable ones are much easier to use, since you can throw them away immediately after use. The convenience and ease of changing diapers is a major factor in convincing some moms to use the disposable type.

Also for hyperactive babies the disposable diaper might be best since it has that double-tape stick that is more secure on the body. For the cloth diapers you might need to use safety pins instead.

Sometimes the best is to simply use a combination, which means using cloth ones at home and disposable ones when on the road. However no matter what you choose, you should always put the health of your child first, so if you see that he or she is uncomfortable in one type, then swiftly change to the other one.

When changing the nappies of your child, make sure to use a proper baby changing table which will keep the child safely and securely without allowing them to fall off.
