It is important to consider what your use will be when selecting a pellet air rifle for either hunting, or competition shooting- in both cases, be sure to get a rifle with the highest velocity.

We're getting close now. Coming in at the number two position, we have the classic Benjamin 392 Combo, 4x32mm Scope The Bejamin is a extra fine looking .22 cal multi-pump pneumatic air rifle with a solid hardwood stock. However, there is no scope rail on this gun. The 392 is an accurate rifle that also has the power to take down those critters, with 685 fps. The price range on this gun is from around $189.00 to a little over $300.00 depending on where you get it, and what extras you would like.
1. RWS 460
I don't mean to play favorites, but I sure do like RWS air rifles. But that has nothing to do with the Diana RWS 460 Magnum coming in at number one; it truly is a fantastic airgun. It looks good, feels good, and has a magnum velocity of 1350 fps when used as a .177 cal., and 950 fps when you use it as a .22 cal. Of course, it's also the most expensive rifle in my list coming in at around $600.00, but worth every penny.
