Owning a double cab is one thing, but protecting and keeping it safe is another. Preventing people from stealing your possessions not only inside the vehicle itself is a very important issue that needs to be considered. Having the locks upgraded on your double cab is just one way in which you can safeguard your vehicle and its possessions.
Business owners who own a large fleet of single and double cabs that get used on a day to day basis are at a greater risk of being exposed to the dangers of vehicle theft. Most of these fleet vehicles are carrying a lot of valuable items at any given time and it is generally known by people that the contents of these vehicles, especially during the day can hold thousands, if not millions of rand’s worth of materials and possessions, especially when the fleet is branded in company logo and colours etc. Business owners and fleet managers need to care extra care and make sure they explore all avenues of protecting their fleet vehicles and their carried possessions. Losing any of these fleet vehicles via theft can pose a huge negative impact on your business, especially if your business relies heavily on these vehicles.
People secure their personal means of transport but they also need to make sure there fleet vehicles, single and double cabs are well protected from thievery. Businesses can generate huge losses if these vehicles are stolen and if the security measures aren’t in place, your business may find it hard to recover from this unfortunate event.
Securing your double cab will not only give you piece of mind but the sense of security knowing your double cab and its possessions are secure gives you less to worry about, especially in today’s trying times. You might be asking, what measures can I take to make sure my fleet and its cargo can stay secure and safe from prying eyes. Firstly as mentioned above is securing your possessions with upgrading of the locks. Heavy duty, security key locks not only for the cab but also the bed will make sure these locks can’t be tampered with, increasing the security of your possessions. Also installing an anti-hijack alarm system will also insure the safety of your vehicle. This should also bring your insurance premium down too which in the end you will save more money at the end of the month. Cell phone and satellite tracking is another way of securing your fleet. You can monitor your vehicles via satellite resulting in you knowing where your vehicles are parked at all times, further increasing the security.
Double cabs are practical and a serious asset to own. Looking after it and keeping it safe is inexpensive and it is definitely needed to protect not only yourself, but you bank balance too. If secure measures are put in place, you will have a major better frame of mind and enjoy your double cab all the more!
