As we have already seen on the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and 5800 XpressMusic, now the Nokia Nuron 5230 is following in the tradition like those handsets in their design. Set in a silver and white color scheme, Nokia Nuron made from a plastic feel exterior does not display a high quality of design, which would impress anybody that holds it for a first time. However, it is extremely lightweight in comparison to additional similar phones; your Nuron is a typical pocket able touch screen phone that could slip unnoticed into your pocket. Regardless of its plastic feel, its construction does feel solid. Its resistive 3.2” LCD touch screen was impressive in its performance.

Camera & Multimedia:
Regrettably, the Nokia Nuron 5230 sports a below average 2-megapixel camera You could share pictures on Flickr, Ovi and Vox but other services such as Facebook, Picasa, etc are not supported. Photos lack solid detail, had a hazy look, colors did not have any rich tone giving them a bland look.
Video capturing maximum, shooting resolution 640x360 on 30 fps, the videos where smooth and crisp colors still a bit bland though. Still the performance was pleasantly surprising.
The music player is mediocre nothing different from the norm. Videos encoded within 480x320 MPEG-4 played quite smooth.
With 70MB on-board storage memory, a 4GB microSD card pre-installed and if that is still not enough, the Nuron could take microSD cards to 16GB in capacity.
Connectivity:
The Nokia Nuron 5230 only supports 3G speeds across T-Mobile's network as it has the dual-band UMTS, 1700/2100 MHz connectivity. It lacks in Wi-Fi. Finally, there is Bluetooth 2.0 allows the handset to connect onto a range of devices to transfer files.
Performance:
Calling quality very impressive by a nearly clear quality on either one complaint about the Nuron's call quality the speaker usually lacked power this made listening even on its highest volume troublesome some times. The speakerphone had crackling and static tone to the voices at its highest volume setting however, it was decent enough for use.
Connection to T-Mobile's network is spot on with no loss in the signal strength or even dropped calls.
Two full days of use was, easily managed from the phone the manufacturer has rated the phone battery lasts 7 hours talk time and 432 hours on standby time.
Conclusion:
The Nuron comes with average S60 5th Edition interface; it is an easy and simple average phone. Has a below average 2-megapixel camera with mediocre media player. Made from plastic that has a cheap feel to it the battery life is robust though.
