We can help you with developing your residence. We think we can reduce some of the stress by using our approach and the things we can show you. A good selection of contractor or builder will be important to keep your blood pressure down. We might help with the kids if included in our agreement.
What If…..
You could see your house in three dimensions (3d) before it was built? Would it help if you could travel through your house and see what the kitchen cabinets, colors, floor, and fixtures really are going to look like? How about the bathrooms? Would you like to see the 3D space in the master bath? We can show you these features and other items in your house to help you make decisions on many things.
I Don’t Like It……….
What are you going to do if what you see is not what you had in mind for the kitchen? Can you ask for this and that to be changed? Our answer is yes. We can change most things while you are sitting in our office or we can e-mail you 3D views for your review. We work with you until you are satisfied with the result. Most of these changes require no additional charge.
You Should………..
Know the cost of plans before you begin the process. You should know the cost of a contractor set or working set of blu-prints before the planning process is started. If the architect or designer cannot give you a ball park figure for the completed plans , or a dollar value per hour of work, find another person to complete the task. I use a simple one page Agreement to illustrate the charge of a plan set for clients.
I Don’t Know What I Want………….
Most people have some idea about the style, size, and type of house they want to build. Best practice is to secure the lot or property first since there are many factors about the site that must be considered when developing a house to fit a location. I use a simple Inventory sheet to assist in basic house design. See resource box for additional information.
