Luckily, Knight has a few suggestions on how to find the kind of test prep that doesn’t fall for the age-old essay conundrum:
• Look for a “study guide for the AEPA test” that’s been developed by actual Arizona teachers, not poorly paid staff writers from a publishing house. Teachers understand the nuances of essay writing; junior admin writers do not!
• Go for an independent test prep company, as they’re typically the ones most willing to break the mold with regards to teacher certification test prep.
• Look for test prep that’s actually geared towards Arizona teachers – they may be a bit more rare, but they’re out there!
