You should use a title tag that accurately describe about the content of the page. The title should effectively describe the content topic. It is important that you don’t use default title tag such as Untitled Page. Some people have pages that are under constructions. As a result, they didn’t make changes to the title tags of the pages that are under construction. If your site is under construction, you should complete every section before launching it. Launching under construction site can cause the search engine to incur penalty. The search engine will never recommend a site that contains incomplete content.

You should create a unique and accurate title for each and every page on your site. The title tag inform the search engines about the topic of the page. Google have publish a diagram tutorial on the different parts of the search result. By referring to the tutorial, you will be able to understand how the different parts of the search result works.

When a user perform a query in the search engine, the search engine will scan the title tag of the websites in its database. The title tag should be optimized with a relevant keyword. The keyword should be relevant to the niche of the product or services which you are promoting. If the title contain too many keywords, it will be flagged as spam. The title should contain at the maximum 2% keyword density.
