Place a small favor in the diaper before you roll it with a note that the favor is for the guest, but that the diaper has to go to the mommy to be!
If you are using the diapers for the favors and so not still want to make a diaper cake, you can always make an arrangement of dry sticks and grass with baby items thread through them. Or you can make a traditional flower arrangement with flowers from your garden and add some baby items to give it the “baby” feel.
This will depend entirely on your budget. Diapers are not all that cheap any more and if you are going to use a lot of diapers it can turn out costly. Flowers though, are also very expensive and if you do not have any in your garden buying flowers make also work out very expensive. Going with the sticks and grass, especially during the fall, may be the cheapest idea. Of course all the baby items go to the mommy afterward and it can be your contribution to the gifts of the baby shower.
