There was once a era that all that was worthy for the decoration of the body was what was hard to form or acquire... Stone beads from gravel, as piercing and polishing them was nearly out of the question... Even wooden beads... Stone rings, wooden ring...
An adored lady was the lucky one that someone’s devotion and desire for her led him to spend a great deal in resources to produce or gain these unique little items, as well as the thread to string them on... Later the age of unusual enough metals arrived, I believe. Copper and its uses might have been discovered at about the same time as other metals... Gold, silver, all requiring similar casting and shaping techniques... Fortunate was the woman to be considered to deserve those adornments...
Copper itself being fairly a nominee in the area of buying a woman’s heart, albeit by less fancy suitors... However it oxidises pretty fast and needs relentless cleansing. This gives the gold a shade of the extra metal, and a “color name” to that “kind” of gold.
Although gold nowadays appears to be again a material that indicated ability of the buyer as its worth climbs owed to the worldwide economical uncertainties, a certain rebellious underground has progressed. It includes individuals who wish not to be conformist. Those who seek to break away from tradition and standards.
Those who participate in the trend seek to indicate to their object of love that they are special. They are not like “the others”. They are exceptional and independent thinkers. They are unusual. They like to explore. They HAVE explored. And they have found something unlike anything else to be adorned by her. Serve them in their ritual of marriage. Be THEIR big event ring unlike any other.

We’re living in a space exploration era, for goodness sake, there are loads of outstanding materials (of the exceptional qualities) that the human kind revealed during the last 100 years. Prime amongst them are exotic alloys of Titanium. A leadership candidate in this class is Black Titanium, produced by very few worldwide. The name given to the metal speaks for itself. The mighty, lightweight, virtually non-destructible… The king of the modern era metals, indeed.
