If your apartment or house does not look totally fabulous, perhaps i suggest you read the following advice on giving your space a makeover that will change your life.

Your style.
Home stylists support the theory that it is advisable to make your house a reflection of who you are. So that you can find the design that best corresponds to your taste, search through magazines and house catalogues, then tear out the pictures that you like the most. When you have a pile of pictures, try to find a common theme. For example, you may realize that the photographs you’ve been saving illustrates rooms which have colored walls or lots of patterns or similar artwork. Another way to gain insight into your style would be to find your most beloved object. It actually represents things that you are passionate about. So, if your prized possession is a blanket you bought last summer from Mexico, you could be into eye-pleasing things and comfort. Try to incorporate those elements into your own home.

Your colour scheme.
For your house to release a balanced and welcoming atmosphere, each room should contain two base colours and an accent colour, and their proportions should be roughly 60 percent for the primary base colour, 30 percent for the 2nd, and 10 percent for your accent one. According to the experts it is best if you don’t have all three colors in equal quantities, as the eye will not like that. Throw pillows, vases, lamp shades and wall hangings can add that 10 percent accent colour.

Your textures.
If the key color scheme of your property is natural, mixing up textures you want is very important, since your home can look flat without an interplay between hard and soft, shiny and matte. Thus, rugs and throws need to be pooled with sleek surfaces, like a lacquer table.

Your light.
Every room needs no less than three light sources and arranged in a triangle formation to ensure the space within the center of the room is illuminated by this triangle light effect. In truth, this small change can make a huge difference to the overall outcome.

Your size and shape.
If a room has a lot of towering items or a lot of short, squat ones, it's going to look awful. Also, if it is dominated by square pieces and sharp edges, they require to be offset by some round or curvy lines. One easy way to solve both of these imbalances without buying any new furniture is to work using your wall hangings. For example, if you want your sofa or table that is against the wall to seem taller, consider hanging directly above it a big painting or photograph. Also, if you have too many angular elements in a room, consider hanging a round or oval mirror on the wall.
