Let’s face it; wardrobe moving boxes are of the utmost importance when it comes to moving. In fact, their use isn’t just limited whenever someone’s changing homes because they can be quite handy for other purposes as well. But we’ll talk about that later because for now, the focus is on the usefulness of these little marvels for when we are organizing various household items, clothing and other knick knacks in preparation for a move. As many of us know, packing your possessions can be quite overwhelming but there are some things that you can do to make the job less stressful for you. Here are a few tips:

When it comes to packing your bed, if possible, disassemble it to minimize the space it needs. However, if it can’t be disassembled then use various old clothes or padding in order to protect it from bumping into other furniture which might damage it. Covering it in plastic would be helpful as well because you would want to protect it from moisture as well. Drawers, dressers and bureaus are also a bit tricky to pack. Simply apply the same principle that you used with the bed, keep them properly padded. You can also place breakable items inside the drawers just make sure that you don’t overload them with stuff. As for chairs, after padding them, simply tie them in bundles and make sure that they are facing seat to seat. This would make sure that they don’t bump and scratch against each other.

People think that the easiest things to pack are the clothes. However, this can be just as tricky as the aforementioned items. For clothes, you would need wardrobe moving boxes which are specifically designed to make sure that your clothes stay put and untouched. These boxes come in various sizes so make sure that you stock up on big and small ones to be able to fit all the clothing that you have. For delicate clothing, wrap them in garment bags or unused black garbage bags before hanging them inside boxes. Another great tip would be to pack your seasonal clothing in a separate box so that you need not take them out of the box until they are to be used.

As for fragile items such as ceramics, dishes and various breakable decorations, you would need to pad these properly with newspaper or bubble wrap before you place them inside the boxes. Make sure that they are tightly packed together because any spaces would allow the pieces to move about and bump into each other thus damaging them. The same goes for your lighting fixtures. Newspaper would work well but it is recommended that you use bubble wrap because they provide more protection and they are also reusable.

Now, for those who are wondering about other purposes by which you can use your wardrobe moving boxes, here’s an idea. Do you travel with a lot of clothing such as gowns and suits in tow? Well, to make sure that your garments don’t get damaged, you can always keep them in these boxes. They might be a wee bit big to lug around but it is one of the best ways to keep your garments in great condition whenever you’re traveling to and fro.
