In this article I am going to cover the top Wii Fitness games you can use to get in shape without leaving your house.
With the introduction of the Nintendo Wii Fitness line of games, many gamers are finally becoming active without even realizing it.
But can someone who is seriously looking for a power packed, high cardio, and aerobics type workout really benefit from the Wii fit?
When you buy a Wii Fit, it comes stocked with a balance board and various strength training, aerobics, yoga, and balance games. While these exercises can be effective, they aren't all that fun to do, at least in comparison to some of the games that have come out since.
If you're going to go all out to get into shape you might as well have a little fun, right? The following games are a few of the more popular Wii fitness games for 2010
In recent months Wii Fit has evolved into a set of games offering the user a more intense cardio and strength training workout. Here is a brief over view of the top 5 Wii Fitness Games for 2010
FIFA Soccer
FIFA Soccer 11 reinvents soccer on the Wii gaming platform at every position on the pitch with a number of innovative game play features. First and foremost players can expect variety in their play options. These include full 11-on-11 matches within a variety of pitch locations; Wii exclusive 5-on-5 match functionality set in city streets locations that feature environments designed to challenge players; 2-on-2 co-op functionality that allows teams to compete for online glory and a spot at the top of the leader boards; and a tournament mode that allows you to play with or against friends.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter
Like the previous game in the series which centered on the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games features player chosen characters entered into event from and inspired by the upcoming 2009 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. The game features a variety of play modes, both single player and multiplayer (coop and competitive). Within these players can choose to enter individual events or compete for all the events in the Olympiad. In addition to actual Olympic events players can also participate in winter-themed mini-games sprinkled throughout the game. Due to the overwhelming number of snow and ice sports making up the events of the Winter Olympics, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games makes extensive use of the Wii Balance Board, although it is not mandatory for play.
Gold's Gym Cardio Workout
This is the first of the Wii Fitness games to focus more on Cardio workout that mimics the workout you will get in a gym, hence the name.
With this game you will get a real workout. The game utilizes the Wii's motion controls, the Balance board.
The highlight of this game is the TaeBo like boxing workout routine. This game seems to get the principle of running in place more accurately than the previous game. The sit-ups and jumping rope will give you a great workout. The Cardio Gold's Gym Workout game keeps great record of your calorie burn and fitness progress, and will automatically increase the difficulty and intensity of your workout to suit.
So overall this is more responsive and offer nonstop action for a great workout, the points system is great for motivation so I will give the Wii Gold's Gym Cardio.

Perform realistic sports moves to take on the competition in activities that include Sword Play, Power Cruising (racing a water scooter) and Disc Dog, in which you'll toss a disc to an adorable, Mii-like dog.
