Just as any other attire, shoes are important element for your feet . Comfortable shoes not only make your walking tireless but it contributes to your overall good health .

If you have a passion for running or you are a fitness conscious person , you should know that the first step to your running experience is by choosing a pair of good running shoes. They are the most important equipment every runner should have . Putting on the wrong shoes can make the difference between a painful brutal experience or a wonderful enjoyable hobby. You don't want to put so much stress on your feet that could cause injury or discomfort to your hips and lower back just because the running shoes are wrong.

There are many factors to consider when selecting a pair of good running shoes, but a lot of them are common sense, and generally they apply to running shoes. The shape and the size of the feet, the running surface and even the brands are things that you can consider when you are buying a pair of running shoes.

Popular running shoe companies like Asics, Adidas, Nike, New Balance, Saucony and Reebok have invested so much money in technological enhancements just to satisfy each runner's features, style and pattern.

Snugly fit shoes should not constrict the blood circulation in your feet. While there should be no play in the shoes to allow excessive movements, the shoes should feel like it is encased around your foot like a glove without squeezing your foot. A little room of half an inch in the front should be fine .

Shoes should feel light when you picked them up. Heavier shoes would tire you more and faster. The heel of the shoes should be stiff enough to support your ankles.

Remember that your shoes don't last forever so look at the soles of your shoes and replace when you have to. Basically, the running shoes should be replaced every 400-500 miles or every 6 months, depending on your frequency of use and the running surface.
