Looking the best you can get for your bride is important on your wedding day, and the best and most economical way to go about doing that is through tux rentals.
Tux rentals are cheaper than purchasing a tuxedo and frees up more money for other aspects of the wedding. You can, of course, buy a tuxedo. But unless you’re one to wear such formal attire more than once, then doing so would be a waste of money. Plus, your purchased tuxedo may be fashionable the current year, and perhaps for a few more years, but the style will not last. And an out of date tux is not something you’re going to want to wear any other time.
With tux rentals, you have more selection. You may even be able to pick something classier or more expensive than you would have selected if you had to buy the fancy suit. These are just a few benefits to tux rentals. Other benefits include your tux being fitted properly to your body and you won’t be responsible for making sure it’s pressed and looking in fabulous condition for the wedding day. If your wedding is out of town or a location other than where you live, you can arrange to have the tux sent to you in pristine condition wherever you and your lovely bride choose to wed.
Unless you already know exactly what your bride wants in regards to the look and feel of the wedding, make sure you get her approval before selecting any tux rental. Tux rentals should be booked well in advance of your wedding date, if you can, so that you can get the best selection possible. If you’re not sure of the style of tuxedo you should get, ask your fiancée for some input. If you’re uncomfortable doing that, ask a trusted female friend or possibly a relative such as a sister or your mother.
Know your measurements if you’re going to order a tux rental without a professional measuring. It’s recommended that you do get someone from the suit supplier to measure you to guarantee the best fit possible. But if this simply isn’t possible, get someone else to measure you. Be honest and accurate. Padding the numbers or decreasing the measurements isn’t going to do you any favors as far as how you’ll look in your rented tuxedo. You’ll either look like you’re drowning in the suit or it’ll be such a tight squeeze that you’ll be afraid to move. When getting tux rentals, always provide accurate measurements including neck circumference, shoulder width, chest measurements, waist measurements, in seam and leg length.
If other measurements are required to get the best fit possible with tux rentals, then the suit rental company will let you know what they require. If they have measurement instructions, follow them closely. Do not attempt to do the measuring yourself but instead get someone else to do them for you as you stand straight. And don’t cheat! Puffing out your chest and sucking in your gut is only going to result in an ill fitting suit that’ll look ridiculous beside your stunning bride in her beautiful gown.
