Shyness consists of 3 basic parts:

1 Feeling self-conscious Shy folks are obsessed with their own social performance

2 Self-evaluation is negative. Shy people assume everyone shares their own negative assessment of themselves

3 Self-preoccupation that's negative Shy folks think they're always making social errors even when nobody else thinks so

Shy people are self-absorbed folks Poor self-image, lack of confidence, an inability to focus outward, and a lack of basic social skills are all factors that lead shy people to be extraordinarily self-absorbed.

Shyness can be overcome All that's needed is a commitment to alter and to follow these steps:

• Understanding shy feelings. Shy people have to prevent self-obsessing and see that they are distorting reality Acknowledge shy feelings but don’t dwell on them

• Understanding folks around you Most people are too worried concerning themselves to worry about shy folks Shy people are much too hard on themselves When you pay less attention to fear, shyness goes away

• Concentrate on your strengths Stop obsessing about your imagined faults Instead, bring your attention back to your good qualities.

• Take an interest in other people. You can’t feel shy whereas trying to put somebody else at ease Strike up an informal conversation with someone new Focus your attention on others rather than yourself

• Give up making an attempt to fit in. Being the lifetime of the party is not what it’s cracked up to be Stop attempting to impress other individuals and simply be yourself

• Learn deep respiration Deep breathing is incompatible with social anxiety When you're feeling anxious or afraid, check and correct your breathing

• Appreciate yourself. Enjoy your own company for a change Head to lunch or for coffee alone. Go on a date with yourself When you can enjoy yourself, you'll be able to relish others

Shyness is curable Shyness solely feels incurable; it is really straightforward to cure.

Learning to like yourself is the simplest way to go. When you like yourself, other people can like you too Practice makes shyness vanish quick Never avoid other people. Practicing being around others will cure you of shyness over time

After awhile, social situations will truly be enjoyable!
