I have to admit, when I first found out about conversational hypnosis, I did not have the proper training and so I started trying to use it in ways that did not benefit the people or me I was attempting to use it on. I knew I needed to study this type of hypnosis, however I was eager to check it out for myself. I quickly learned what I was doing wrong, although I did take the time to learn it and the process involved. Before I was to move forward, I had to learn what it was, it's the ability to enter somebody's subconscious mind while having an ordinary conversation with them, all without their knowledge.
Using My New Found Knowledge at Home
What better place to begin using what I had been studying about conversational hypnosis than at home with the ones that you know best. For example, my son had a rather low self-esteem and I figured that he was the perfect candidate because I could help him subconsciously build his self-esteem. The following is how our conversation proceeded to go:
Me: The lunch I packed for school today, did you like it?
Son: Yes, I did. It was my favorite, thanks for remembering!
Me: You are welcome honey, you deserve only the best. Don't you understand that? I hope you do.
Son: I never thought about it, but I guess that if you think I deserve the best than sure, I believe it that I do!
Me: Believing in yourself and realizing that you only deserve the best is important. From here on, I will certainly be placing some treats in your bag!
By me continuing to improve my boy's self-confidence by using conversational hypnosis, he began to come out of his shell and slowly and gradually, his self-esteem began growing. If you take a look at him today, you would never know about his past issues, as he is a lot more self-confident.
Employing it during Work
Once I noticed the massive improvement in my boy's self-esteem, I made a decision to use it at work to gain a promotion that I should have received a long time ago. I began simply by talking more with the boss, who happened to be the decision maker of promotions. I would ask questions for example:
"Was the brief I turned in complete?"
Boss' reply: "You always have fantastic briefs, don't be concerned!"
After that I could answer using:
"I remember my hands were shaking when I submitted my first brief 10 years ago."
Boss: "There was nothing to concern yourself with, you did a wonderful job."
I now toss a few questions at her as I'm in touch with her subconscious::
"I hope you realize that I am available to deal with all those briefs that take up so much of your time, yes?"
I was not only promoted to handling the briefs, I also acquired a nice raise after doing this for a week. We were equally happy after it was over, and I can say that my hypnosis actually helped speed up the process that she had been delaying for so long.
