A heart attack is defined as a sudden and extremely severe incident of abnormal heart function. It can easily be prevented if its symptoms are immediately acknowledged. Most heart patients and their family members take a slight wince as a minor case of heart burn . Many think that a little sting in the left part of their body means no substantial harm. But they could be very wrong if they continue to ignore such occurrences.

The indication of a heart attack is usually given by several factors. The most common occurring symptom is of chest discomfort. It is most probably a painful sensation in the chest like a tight ache. It could also be a certain pressurizing feeling. It occurs in the middle of the best and may last for a few minutes. It may surge up every now and then.

One of the indicia of a heart attack is physical pain in the upper part of the body. Unease may spread throughout the chest to the shoulders, neck, arms, back, jaw or even teeth in severe cases. It is even described as an excruciating feeling that sticks to other parts of the upper body except the chest. Hence, many people ignore it as a body ache.

Stomach pain is usually taken as the least unexpected symptom of a heart attack. It is usually classified as a part of a heart burn. That is absolutely incorrect. The pain in the stomach may extend downward. It leads to the abdominal area and may feel like a usual heartburn. Such a patient ought to inform his doctor and take medication accordingly.

Another heart attack symptom is shortness of breath. Panting and breathing uneven for air indicate abnormality in heart function. A strong pang or stab is felt in the chest cavity by the patient. This leads of queasiness and light headed sensations. The patient may go unconscious for undefined duration.

If the patient feels light headed or dizzy, this must not be ignored to be an occasional feeling of unsteadiness. This could lead to terrible results. As soon as the patient seems to feel blurred or hazy , make them lie down and let them breathe slowly. Passing out is a common symptom of a heart attack.

An unusual amount of perspiration is another indication of a heart attack. Beads of sweat may appear on the forehead of the patient. Panting or fast breathing accompanies the sweating. They may break into a cold sweat and feel claustrophobic. Open air and space reduces the feeling of such uneasiness. Along with that, nausea is a common heart attack symptom.

If these symptoms are taken into consideration and prevented through medical procedures then the chance of a heart attack is slim to none. The mistake usually made is to ignore the indicia of this cardiac abnormality because the symptoms are very easily neglected due to their commonly nature. It is not difficult to be slightly prudent in case of a heart attack. That is because a single precautionary step taken can save a life from fatal damage.
