If the cover is near or attached to the house and blocks the sun from coming in the windows, it may also keep the indoors cooler in the summer and can shield your indoor possessions from fading from the sun.
Terrace covers can be installed by professionals or kits can be bought for those that are somewhat handy and need to save the expense by doing it themselves. A real do-it-yourselfer can start from scratch, buying the raw materials, measuring and cutting everything to size before assembling the parts, but employing a kit saves lots of time and effort, while still saving you money from an neatly installed model because you construct it yourself.
