This is programmed with a chip similar to that used in the Playstation 3, which is arguably one of the fastest that average consumers can get their hands on. The memory is such that you can simultaneously record 8 high definition programs, and then save them to the massive internal storage. While this product is only for sale in Japan, it is expected to have a stateside release sometime in 2010.
There is no argument that Toshiba has set the bar very high. They are among the best in HD televisions, and with good reason. So while you might anxiously await the sale of the Cell Regza here in the U. S., Toshiba is well on its way to putting that to shame.
