An interesting topic is determining the best time to exercise. Studies show that the best time to exercise is around 6 o'clock in the evening. Body rhythms, lung functions, body temperature, and hormone levels are most conducive for exercise at this time. However, the demands of life in Western societies basically compels many people to exercise in the morning. This is supported by the results of many surveys. People do their workouts in the morning, or during their lunch or other breaks in their day, because it is more convenient. Keep reading to learn more about the best time of day to exercise.

Assuming that you wake up around six or seven o'clock in the morning.

Because your blood circulation and energy levels are not at optimum point that early in the morning you have to get it to that point. Research has shown that we can reset our biological clocks through a routine of habit, so what that means is just plow through it in the beginning. It may cut into your sleep time and make you a little unhappy, but you will adjust and get used to it. After a while your new morning routine will feel normal. According to surveys and research, most people who are able to consistently work out do so earlier in the day as opposes to after work. This allows them to see to their responsibilities for the day but still get in their exercise. Also, people find that it becomes easier to develop a healthy exercise habit with morning work-outs. They also have fewer interruptions and distractions. This makes sense because many people aren't up and outside at that time of day. In general, people are willing to get up a little earlier in order to get in some exercise. That's impressive.

If you are able to schedule time in the afternoon for a workout it's important that you do it. Many believe there are compelling reasons for doing this. Just one of which is research shows we are physically more capable in late afternoon. Also, we have more endurance in the late afternoon, as well. This time of day is best because our muscles are already firing at full bore making us less prone to injury. Keep up afternoon routines for best benefit from your fitness program.

If you work during the day, you perhaps are in the best position as far as the best time exercise. We say that because there are so many options available to you. Change your habits during the day especially if you are not working.
