There are many reasons that businesses hire outside help when it comes to cleaning their offices. One is that employees are not trained or don't have the time to clean up their office, or don't know what cleaning supplies are the best for things for bathrooms, for example. Cleaning service companies can be a valuable asset for businesses, and can do a variety of different things.
But no matter how hard you try to hire the right cleaning company for your business, you may find out later that the company isn't as good as you originally thought. One of the signs you should look for is that they don't arrive at your business on schedule, or worse yet, they don't arrive at all.
You can immediately tell this when you come in and find the garbage cans have not been emptied, or the reception area hasn't been vacuumed if there is carpeting, or bare floors not swept or mopped.
Having your bathrooms cleaned every day is important. If a cleaning service does not clean your bathrooms regularly, you could end up with a health hazard, for your clients as well as your employees. Some cleaning companies only do half of the job, such as only cleaning the toilets or just cleaning the sinks. They might neglect cleaning the walls or the floors, or overlook emptying the trash containers. This is a sure sign that you hired a cleaning company that is not doing their job.
Sometimes, a cleaning service will subcontract other people to come in and clean businesses instead of having their own workers come in and do the cleaning. Usually this is because they have spread themselves out too much, and have taken on too many contracts and can't do them all. In many cases, these subcontractors aren't properly trained, and have poor job skills. They can also steal from your business and if you don't have some kind of camera security you may never know until it is too late.
Use your nose when you arrive at your office in the morning. If it still has a strong chemical smell, chances are that your cleaning service isn't using the right cleaning products. They might even be using chemical cleaning products in the wrong places. If they use the same products for the bathrooms and the other parts of the office, cross-contamination can lead to a variety of health problems.
Another problems that some businesses have when dealing with cleaning services is that the employees that come in to clean, can't speak English, and there are big problems communicating your needs to them. Look, any kind of business should never discriminate against anyone, but if your cleaning service can't understand what you are trying to tell them, then there's a problem.
If the person in charge of your cleaning company is always away on vacation or is otherwise not available when you need them, you should change to another cleaning service. You should not have to deal with any of these problems when so many other cleaning services will bend over backwards to get your business and make sure that your office is neat, clean and tidy, just the way you want it. If you are experiencing any of these cleaning company problems, or any other problems that are unresolved, then fire your cleaning service and hire another.
