If you are currently looking for foie gras recipes that you could cook for your family once in a while, you should not really feel too much worried because the good thing is that there are lots of options for you out there; there are several foie gras recipes that you can choose from. For instance, there is one recipe that you could try out and it is called the foie gras that is pan-seared. This article will give you the specific instructions that you need to follow to be able to accomplish cooking this meal.

To start things off, there are various ingredients that you need to have first before actually attempting to be successful with cooking it. First of all, you need at least 1 lobe of foie gras, a single tablespoon of Balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons of molasses, 3 tablespoons of red wine, sea salt, and a whole grain wheat bread; the bread should be from 2 up to 4 pieces, and you also need to make sure that these are cut into four parts. After gathering all the ingredients that you need, you should start cooking by heating the red wine, molasses, and vinegar in a sauce pan that is big enough to accommodate all three ingredients; you have to give it a couple of minutes to allow it to reduce into half of its original amount. While your sauce is simmering over the heat, you are now required to inspect your foie gras and check if there are any veins coming out of them; if you find any, you have to pull them out immediately. After doing this, you now have to slice the foie gras into smaller parts from around 6 up to 8 pieces; this is the ideal number so that all of you in the family will be able to taste it afterwards. After doing this, it is now time to take out a skillet where you can sear the foie grasses for about 45 to 50 seconds per side if you are aiming for a rare preparation; but if you want it to be medium-rare, you should allow each side to be seared for an additional of 10 seconds on each side. After searing both sides of the foie grass, the best thing that you can do is to let each piece sit on top of paper towels so that all the oil will be absorbed for a while. When a couple of minutes have already elapsed, you can now plate the foie gras that you have seared before drizzling a little of the sauce that you prepared beforehand.

When you have already perfected cooking this particular dish, you will surely be able to realize that this is one of the many foie gras recipes that you should never miss cooking. Remember that even if you are just a beginner, you will still be able to cook this dish perfectly and without experiencing any troubles; all you need to do is follow the instructions properly and give yourself some time to adjust to it. If you still want to learn more recipes, there are various options that you can still choose from, all you need to do is to spend some time in front of your computer and browse through all the recipes you will encounter in the process.
