I think that when most people hear the word "discount" or "cheap price" they automatically assume that the product is going to be of a lesser quality than they would like it to be. If you really bought one of these products, you would know that this just isn't the truth at all! This isn't about quality or lack thereof, this is about the price and only the price. Shop at a big world-renowned business when it comes to electronics, and your wallet is going to be hurting. You are really looking at high hundreds of dollars - if not thousands!
I can personally quote this because I made the mistake of buying my camera at a "popular" store offline and it ended up where I could have saved a lot of money. Instead, I lost a lot! Shop at a smaller brick and mortar store online or offline, and you are going to be superbly happy about the price. The discount camera store is going to have all of the products and brands you know and love. This could be actual camera brands like Sony, Nikon or Pentax and they could also have accessories for your camera as well such as memory cards, film, lenses, and tripods.
These are all going to be extremely high quality, but the price match isn't going to make your head hurt. Frankly, I wish more people shopped at mom and pop stores because I think there would be a whole lot less "waste" as far as money goes, especially with the way we have to watch our money right now during the economic bust! Unfortunately, as stated above, people automatically assume discount equals bad. Hopefully someone can change your mind and quick! There are two things you can do to find a discount camera store.
You can either take a look online at Google and find ANY camera store that has discounts or lower prices, or you could also do a localized search. For example, say you live in Brooklyn, it would be a terrific idea for you to do a search for Brooklyn Electronic Shop - I can almost guarantee you that several different sites are going to come up. What this is going to do is allow you to save even more money by foregoing shipping and handling! A lot of people won't even shop online because they figure if they have to pay for shipping and handling, saving a few bucks on a discount camera store won't even matter.
However, if you find a store that is BY you, you won't even have to worry about this. That is what this is all about - high quality products that you need, and a price that you truly can afford along with a few other nice facets as well! Even if you can't find a store by you, I can still guarantee that the S&H (if you do have to pay for it) isn't going to be super high. And that you are indeed going to still save some money!
