The basis of the SRC Gen III gearbox is the reinforced gearbox housing that holds 8mm ball bearings. This is one of the few guns that are truly LIPO battery ready. Some of the critical parts of the gearbox are the the double O-ringed piston head and aluminum spring guide that both have bearings and powered by an M110 spring.
The air from the piston is pushed out through the double O-ringed aluminum piston cylinder head and routed through a polymer air nozzle that also has an internal O-ring. What these all add up to is a great air seal that will fire the BB through a metal hop up chamber and down a 6.04 mm tight bore barrel. Powering all of this high tech equipment is an ultra high torque SRC motor and high strength steel gears. These gears and motor are so strong they can easily handle an M120 or higher spring.
The strength and quality of the SRC Gen III guns is also noticeable on the exterior quality. The M4 series is made from CNC machined aluminum and has only a few nylon fiber parts like the pistol grip and stock. The rest is heavy duty aluminum and the guns have no wobble and are some of the sturdiest feeling airsoft guns on the market.
