Presentation programs are one of the useful tools that can help you present your products and services in a lively, engaging and informative way. Because of the designs and pictures that you can include in your presentation programs, it enables your target audience to pay attention and participate.

Below are the special features of presentation programs that you should know and will serve you as a guide to create more compelling presentation programs:

Tool in making the outline. Like any document with more than one part, a good presentation should be outlined (organized so information flows logically). An outlining tool enables you to organize your slides' contents as you create them by rearranging them and viewing them in order.

Tool in making annotations. Many speakers often prepare a set of notes (called annotations) to accompany their slides. Using presentation programs, you can prepare notes for each slide as you create a presentation. You can set up notes so they are visible only to you. Or you can print them with or without the actual slide.

Tool in making animation. You can use animation tools to make text pop out or crawl onto the screen; or even to make slides "build" themselves by adding individual pieces or text that appear as you introduce them to the audience. You can also create animated transitions. You can use a special effect that causes slides to blend together when you switch from one slide to the next. Popular transitions are the "fade" (in which the first slide fades out and the next slowly appears), and the "blind" (in which the first slide seems to disappear behind a closing Venetian blind, and the next slide appears as the blind reopens).

Tool for sound and video. Slide presentations can be full-fledged multimedia events. You can embed a sound or video object into a slide and then play the object by double clicking its icon during a presentation. All the multimedia objects can be played directly from the computer, if you have the appropriate sound and video display hardware.

Other special features. You can embed different types of objects, such as links to Web pages or other applications, in a slide presentation. When you click a link to a web page, the web page opens in a browser window; if you click the link to another application, the other application launches.

Aside from the features, presentation programs have also a wide array of choices on presenting your slide shows to your customers depending on your desire. Here are some:

When you are about to present your slide shows to your audience or to your customer if the slide you made is product presentation, you can let them view the slides in several ways:

On your computer. If you are presenting slides to a few people, your pc monitor might be adequate for an informal slide show. For example, your slide show is all about the products of your folder printing company and wants to highlight more on the folders service, and you will be presenting those folders to about two or three people; your desktop monitor or laptop will do. But for a larger audience, you might need a different display tool to let the audience have a full view of your folder printing slides. Also note that flat panel monitors are not well suited for this purpose because of the limited viewing angle.

On your television. Using a PC to TV converter, you can connect your computer to a standard television and view the PC's video output on the television monitor. While this solution may sound convenient, many compatibility issues must be considered, one of which is that televisions do not often display images at the same resolution as a PC monitor.

On a digital projector. Portable high resolution digital projectors are expensive; but they can display slides to a much larger audience. This is ideal if you will be presenting you product or service to a larger audience for them to fully understand your product and will have a closer look on the images you are presenting.

Now you are ready to make a presentation program with confidence.
