The second book in the Percy Jackson along with the Olympians Series, The Sea of Monsters, is definitely an intriguing story of hardship, danger, and excitement. With increased unpredictability as opposed to wind, The ocean of Monsters is stuffed with adventure. This book can be a quick read and it's freshly original.
The hero, Percy Jackson, son of your God Poseidon, fills The ocean of Monsters with the same style of lighthearted fun such as the earliest book. Exactly how Percy's mouth never stops running often gets him into trouble, but causes quiet a few laughs on the way. For instance, the god Tantalus, cursed while using the inability to eat or drink, is on the list of directors for camp half-blood, a camp for children born from a mortal parent and an immortal god. Anytime he tries to enjoy, his food darts far from him. When Percy climbs into downside to Tantalus, in lieu of keeping shutting his mouth, he tells Tantalus to search chase a donut.
One interesting part of this book may be the way Riordan puts the hero through several similar trials and battles the famous heroes of old faced. Percy needs to sail with the Sea of Monsters, exactly the same sea Odysseus supposedly sailed, must fight many of the same horrific monsters that other heroes faced, and in many cases travels into Hades inside the first book. Exactly how this younger and modern hero fights exactly the same fights as people in ancient literature makes for a motivating, and sometimes humorous, tale.
The Percy Jackson series are fantastic books for the children and teens. For the kids which don't like reading, which has a character their age they can depend on is a superb way to get them keen on reading. These series are also fun for adults. Even adults can be rejuvenated which has a young person's spontaneity around.
The ocean of Monsters is a superb book to snuggle on top of and look. To acquire the most from the reading experience, a calm and safe environment should be used. There are plenty of strategies to do that, even so the most effective is through a home security system.
