How often have you received a present that you didn't like and passed it on? If yes, then there is little that you need to feel bad about. A study reveals that regifting is now not considered as a distressing thing. In fact, the trend of regifting is being increasingly accepted. Nevertheless hold on before you pass on that undesired present. There are many do's and don'ts that you have to familiarise yourself with before you follow the trend of regifting.

When you are regifting anything, you actually would not want the receiver to know about it. It is for this reason that you need to be very careful about the gift cards. Make certain you take out the gift cards that carry the name of the receiver before you pass on the gift.

After renaming, it is wrapping the gift that requires much attention. If the gift has been with you for some time now, it will be pretty identifiable from its cover. For example, if it is a pair of shades you want to present, see that you change the old cover. With it, change the wraping sheet too to cause it to appear new and tasty.

You do not have to be verbal about your notion of regifting. It is very clear that everyone wants to receive a gift that has been well thought on. It wouldn't be good to tell your mate that you're giving her a couple of shoes that you received as a present the year before. It might send across a wrong message. Your mate will surely not like receiving something unwanted. Hence be silent about it.

Most people tend to give away pointless or unattractive stuff when re-gifting. Nevertheless you shouldn't do so all the time and try and present folk with things that you know they'll enjoy- whether you personally need it or not. As an example, re-gift recipe book for diabetes to a mate who's afflicted with the condition ; particularly if you actually have a copy.

You should always take care about whom you are giving the gift. Ensure that you are not giving the present to the friends or family of the person from whom you had originally received it. There is always a probability that notes will be exchanged and you might just get caught. It is a smart idea to make a list of things that you have received as gifts from different folk, for reference.

Regifting is certainly a brilliant idea as it helps you save a lot of money. But while you pass on the gifts, make sure that you don't give away something that's really awful. After all, giving gifts is all about making the other person feel special.
