Have your own home studio as nearly all voiceovers work from home and connect to radio station/production studios or producers executing ISDN lines.
You will want all the usual things like internet, email so you can fax or email agencies or radio stations your availability so they know when to get hold of you, and audio software for recording.
There are numerous voiceover web sites on the web you can use to market your services, a Google search would yield you the best results.
If you need training then you can download a podcast from Radio Talent, or you could always have a chat with the guys at one or two courses who might be able to record examples for you. Alternatively talk to a radio producer or two to ask them if they can create a demo for you.they deal with voice artists regularly and you could find radio producers to conversation to on the Radio Talent site we have found. Be very heedful about so called training schools as they are high profit busineses and will take your money, even if you sound greek. Whilst that is your say, just make sure you are getting the best advice for the best price. We looked around and found that podcasts deliver you tons of confidence for free or a few pounds. This is better than going away into the city and spending a fortune.

As categorical note it is worth understanding that sites that publish you as an artist are worth the investment, study where they are in google, ascertain how quickly they answer back to an email from you, find out the ease of use and cost of these places and ascertain how proficient Be scrupulous of sites that hide voice over actors from public view as this does not help you build awareness and profile outside of your own connections.
The voice over world is greatly competitive, and those old fashioned voice actors who think work grows on grees are perishing by the second, many agents are also feeling the strain as some online companies make it easier to contact and have a relationship with a voice over guy artist. One final thing is that an agency is an agency and a marketing tool is a marketing tool. You should not pay for an agency that is also a marketing tool nor anticipate to work with a marketing tool and not pay.
